  • Manages time and priorities between two teams (documentation, engineering) with a common goal of improving the standard of software documentation.
  • In the Documentation team, I collaborate with other technical authors on documentation practice work, including: crafting guidelines for documentation, improving the internal reference library, demonstrating the impact and value of design and user research performed by technical authors
  • In the Platform Engineering team: Drive the documentation roadmap for the team, including deciding our priorities in a 6-month period, estimating time and effort from the team, and tracking progress on a biweekly basis. Review and edit software documentation written by engineers so that the text adheres to the Canonical style guide and Diátaxis framework. Occassionally I also write documentation and have the engineers review the technical details
  • Work with other teams without a dedicated technical author (such as Information Systems) to offer feedback and guidance on their team's documentation

  • Designed the Snowmass 2021 Community Survey to cover a wide variety of topics answered by roughly 1000 academics working in high energy physics and astrophysics

  • Report was published as part of proceedings for The US Community Study on the Future of Particle Physics (Snowmass 2021)
